At their penultimate meeting, in front of a large crowd, Wimbledon staged heats of three competitions with the final scheduled for next Saturday – the track’s final meeting.

Razldazl Raidio took half a length off his old Wimbledon 480m hurdle track record when landing a heat of the Wimbledon 480 Hurdle in 28.85.

The Ricky Holloway trained came home nine clear of Mystical Charlie and Danoel. The other qualifier went to Hurdler of the Year Ballymac Manix in 29.49.

Fastest on the flat was Alfie Herbert’s Fweshfromthesesh (David Bale-Lissivigeen Joy, Jul 15) with a six and a half length win in 28.62. The other qualifier went to Crossfield Hugo in 28.76.

The heats of the Standard went to Ginas Blue (29.04) and Office Hazard (29.10). Earlier in the evening, the £1,000 bitch’s event went to Dave Pruhs’ Pollys Pim (28.91). The similarly valued sprint was won by Seamus Cahill’s Jumereigh Maximus in 16.06.
