Scooby is a really good greyhound but this could be a category one final. I think he could be a live outsider given the draw but he is a regular 30.00 runner at our place and several in this race are at least one class better.

DROOPYS FIVE (Newcastle)

The third of my three bankers. He was runner-up in the All England Cup and short of having Droopys Buick, we couldn’t really ask for more. He was spiked in the Sheffield leg or would have gone quicker. We owe a big thanks to the Connolly family for making him available.

KOOGA KLAMMER (Peterborough)

A very good dog who I consider to be the team’s talisman. I think he is one of our best three chances and I will be very disappointed if he doesn’t finish either first or second.

FAULT FINDER (Sheffield)

I think he is the overlooked dog in the race. His trainer was saying that the race was mentioned on RPGTV and he didn’t even get a mention. In a two dog race, I think Droopys Five would beat him a couple of lengths. But he has 27.20 winning form at Kinsley, and can lead up. He will take some catching.

BALLYMAC SHIRLY (Towcester)

With absolute respect to Shirley, I hope we are not relying on her winning to take the title. She ran brilliantly for us last year but has not been in peak form in recent weeks and this is a very high quality race.

AJLO LEGALBEAGLE (Romford)

This is a very tough race but Legalbeagle is a class act who has been to late stages of big competitions. He led and was caught at Sittingbourne (Central Park) but cramped late on. He is out on his own in trap six, has great excellent pace, and is not without a chance.
