Four of the top six in the semi final betting made it through to Saturday’s 71st British Bred Produce Stakes Final at Swindon.

The star of the day was the amazing youngster King Elvis (Tullymurry Act-Skate On, Oct 15) who mad it eight wins from eleven races with a fastest of the day 28.51 in the third qualifier.

He beat the slow breaking Apache Kid by two and a half lengths, though the latter lost considerably more than that in running. Ballyoak Petal (Slip The Lark-Ballyoak Alice, Jul 15) belied her lack of experience in the opening heat. Contesting only her seventh race, Kevin Hutton’s black and white led from trap to line to beat Carn Brea in 28.72.

The second heat also went to the market leader as Stuart Buckland’s Supreme Merlot (Take The Crown-Ballymac  Mighty, Aug 15) made it seven wins from 17 races with a 28.88 victory.
