Peterborough trainers have a great record at Yarmouth and so it proved oagain n Monday night when they were the moral winners in the penultimate leg of the BAGS/SIS Track Championship (Eastern region).

A treble for Lanrigg Sheena (bitches), Ballymac Santose (dogs) and Princess Freya (stayers) saw them amass 46 points on the night.

The hosts – two in each race – had a double with Gottabe Special (sprint) and Carrowkeal Monty (standard) but their elite standard ace Badabing was surprisingly turned over by Nottingham’s Ballymac Cathal. Doncaster’s sole victory came with Droopys Cyanide in the juvenile.

Total points: 65-Yarmouth, 46-Peterborough, 34-Nottingham, 30-Henlow, 21-Doncaster.

The final round will be held at Henlow on November 27 with the scores standing:

195.5 Peterborough, 191-Nottingham, 148.5-Yarmouth, 132-Doncaster, 116-Henlow
