Contesting only her fourth race, the litter sister of Puppy Derby winner Droopys Roddick led at the first bend and clocked 28.59 (-10) for the 480 metres.

 

Perseverance paid off for trainer Kevin Boon when Oneco Sky (Shaneboy Lee-Blossom Princeess, Sep 13) won his first open race at Romford.

The white and black stayers had a 0/14 strike rate when destroying a 750 metre field by more than eight lengths in 47.51.

Kennelmate Katies Piper (Scolari Me Daddy-Head Piper, Jan 14) also broke her open race duck when clocking the fastest time of the night in a 400 metre puppy open – 23.95.

The Phil Ward trained runner, who won the recent Track Championship heat, landed his second consecutive A1 clocking 26.41 (-20).
