Monmore have announced that a one-off 480m open race worth £600 to the winner, and due to be staged this coming Saturday has been omitted from the Calendar. The Alderman John O’Leary MBE JP Memorial Trophy (RU £160, other £70) closes at 11am on Wednesday (25th).
The track has also announced the date of the Lol Jones Memorial meeting – it will be on Friday December 22. A total of 14 races over all distances will each carry a total of £1,000 in prize money (Winners £600, Second £200, Others £50).
