A week a fter winning an open race in 24.03 (+10), Yvonne Gaskin’s Miss Blackbell became the first winner of the switched 400 metre course at Romford. Her winning time was 23.96 (+30).
Overall, and as might be expected, times seemed much on par with form from just a week ago. A number of regular open racers franked the form later on the card. Savana Jessica clocked 24.00, in her two previous ‘trap to line’ runs from the opposite starting traps, her winning times were 24.13 and 23.96.
The same held true for the new 575 metre course. The experienced Chubbys Caviar won in 35.32, had been beaten in her two previous races but in her last winning performance, she was timed at 35.38.
