Kennelhand: Nominations still required

AT the Greyhound of the Year Awards human categories celebrated on the night include recognition of 2014’s Kennelhand of the Year. The winner(s) receive a trophy, £500 and accommodation at the Lancaster Hotel, London. GBGB relies on owners, trainers and friends to nominate the person(s) they deem worthy of national recognition. GBGB chief executive Barry Faulkner said: “The bulk of nominations usually come from owners and trainers. Of course anyone in the industry can forward their suggestion to us and we need a few lines explanation as to why, in their opinion the person is worthy of winning. Kennelhands are some of the hardest workers in the industry, with the long hours and late nights and we want to hear about individuals whose exceptional dedication make them the backbone of our sport.” Nominations must be received by Wednesday 7th January 2015. A panel comprising a number of industry experts will meet to discuss the relative merits of each nomination. Email [email protected] with the subject line; ‘Kennelhand of the Year 2014’ or post nominations to GBGB, 6 New Bridge Street, London EC4V 6AB. Please include your own contact details.
