GBGB are inviting tracks to bid for the rights to stage the 2018 and 2019 TV Trophies.

Last held a Towcester in November last year, and following a time lag caused by the failure of the industry to secure a SKY deal, the open race planners continue to play catch-up as they attempt to find open race holes for the remaining key fixtures.

This year’s event is destined for early December, and although the race planners are aware of a potential clash with the traditional Harolds Cross/Shelbourne December marathon, any later would see a clash with Crayford’s Boxing Day Marathon.

In order to extablish some stability, GBGB are looking for a two year deal with the aim of moving the event to a more suitable date in 2019, possibly in August.

A panel will sit to consider the suitability of any applicants, with the main parameters being that the event should have Cat One status and be staged over a minimum of ‘eight bends’.
