Knocktoo Garry kept his unbeaten record in the Irish Independent Laurels over 525 yards at Cork when successful in the semi-finals.

The son of Kinloch Brae went three lengths clear down the far side but top local bitch Drive On Royal came with a strong late challenge and a photo was needed to separate the pair, with Midtown Raffa getting the verdict by a head in 28.38sec.

 

Graham Holland’s Gaytime Hawk landed the William Hill Derby Trial Stake over the same trip.

The Westmead Hawk dog was led to the last turn by Puppy Derby Quietly but went past to score a two and a half length victory over Ardfert Tee Jay in 28.41sec.
