East Anglian Derby winning breeder Keith Dawson will fancy his chances of winning the event as a trainer following a fastest trialstake win for All About Shea (Ace Hi Rumble-Cooltraw Mist, Sep 13) on Monday night.

The middle seed had been chasing a six-timer when going lame in a £500 final at Henlow in March and it was July before he returned to the track. Beaten in his first couple back, Shea returned to form at the end of the month with 27.72 and 27.75 victories. On Monday, he was drawn alongside the Dawson bred Do It For Twiggy in the top event of the night and simply blew away the field. He crossed the sectional in a flying 5.32 sectional and came home five clear of Old Joe Golden in a career best 27.61 for the 462 metres.

The other trialstakes went to: Harrow Wolf (28.18), Bodell Lightfoot (28.21), Ajlo Legalbeagle (27.91), Ballymac Cathal (27.86) and Clubber Lang (27.92).
