Charlie Lister’s runner recorded 17.69sec in a solo trial over 305 metres.
Lister’s 2013 English Derby winner Sidaz Jack railed closely in his solo workout to record 17.76sec.
Oaks runner-up Bromwich Sue came back from a recent fall to clock a slick 17.70sec.
National Sprint winner Geelo Vegas was another to go round and did 17.76sec.
Geraldine Kovac’s Toker Miller did 17.77sec; Claudia Wray’s West House did 17.80sec, while Keith Allsopp’s Slick Suzy recorded 17.85sec.
Slick San Siro, last seen in the Puppy Derby Final when running as Dragon Posse recorded a fast 29.587sec over 500 metres.
The time was matched by local favourite Bromwich Tom in another solo.
