ODDS 27 PAC

The star of the week was Clonbrien Hero in the Irish Leger Final at Limerick. It was a third classic win – albeit subject ot a stewards inquiry into the Laurels – but no one could deny that the Graham Holland trained runner has been one if Ireland’s most consistent top class performers for two seasons.

Elsewhere, Stefans Wee Bro was a thoroughly deserving winner of the £5,000 Tennents Gold Cup at Drumbo Park. Jumeirah Lolls won the Shelley Fennelly Memorial Bitch Stake at Curraheen Park.

Vintage Year clocked the fastest semi final win in the Newbridge Oaks, Paridise Morocco did something similar in the Munster Juvenile at Clonmel. Puppy Droopys Ant added to her 12 length winning debut with an 11 lengths win at Waterford, only marginally slower than the Gain Select semi winners. There was a new FOY, admittedly on a new lightly used 350 trip at Mullingar, by Gunboat Rising.
