Stayers races remain to the fore in Ireland with the Corn Cuchulainn at Shelbourne Park where Redezer Ruby went best in the Gain Corn Cuchulainn at Shelbourne – some half a second quicker than Airmount Tess. Meanwhile there was a 725 yard track record at Kilkenny for Kiltra Brian.
At Enniscorthy, puppy Battstreet Chick equalled the fastest 550 of the year, Drive On Mike did something similar at Waterford with a sensational 28.11 run (TR 28.01).
On the subject of pups, there was a particularly fast run by Quezon Cian at Lifford and the fastest standard run of the week by Limerick pup Rallying Jill. Crinkill Jake produced a fine run in a novice stake at Thurles.
