The highlight of the week was the final of the Race Of Champions at Tralee which went to Killinan Rosie.
We also had two new track records broken. At Longford, Badminton Ciaran went six spots inside the old 550 yard track record with a 29.45 run. At Newbridge, Junior Jet went eight spots inside the old clock with a 17.27 run.
Meanwhile sprinter supreme Ballymac Bigmike won a 400 yard final at Dundalk in 21.17 – his 27th win in 33 races. Over the standard, Wagga Sky became the first runner to break 29.00 at Youghal this year, over 550 yards, Fleeting Nicko ran the fastest time in 2017 at Waterford – 30.01.
