Henlow believe they have overcome the problems with their hare and expect to race normally from Saturday night onwards.
Stress levels at the Bedfordshire circuit have gone through the roof after losing RPGTV meetings due to the failure of the aged system.
Racing manager Paul Mellor said: “Gavin Smith, who developed the system with his father Tom, has been here two whole days and will probably be here tomorrow (Saturday) too.
“He has overhauled the motor, replaced the control box and replaced the pulleys with a new improved design.
“Basically, there wasn’t a single fault, it was a culmination of various small issues that made a much bigger problem.
“The hare was the original fitted when we switched from the inside hare, long before Kevin (Boothby) became the promoter but we are now completely modernized.
“The original control box, which was about four feet by three feet, is now the size of a tablet computer.
“I can’t explain how stressful this has all been. Announcing that a race was about to start and then nothing happening. . . . . at one stage I felt like running away.”
