King Elvis (Tullymurry Act-Skate On, Oct 15) was just six spots outside the Henlow 460m track record when winning the fastest semi final of the RPGTV Henlow Derby on Sunday night.

The Kent bred Produce Stakes winner led off a 3.66 sectional and was pursued throughout by Droopys Gold. But Liz McNair’s 5-2 chance was not for catching and held on by almost four lengths in 27.11.

The opening heat produced a forecast for Kevin Hutton as even favourite Forest Chunk (Tullymurry Act-Forest May, Jul 15) beat Ballyregan Jimmy by a couple of lengths in 27.24.
