Animal welfare charities which make up the Greyhound Forum* have warmly welcomed the news of the increased voluntary funding from Ladbrokes Coral.  They are also reassured to learn that Lord Lipsey continues to be involved in decisions affecting the future of Greyhound Racing.

Chairman of the Forum, Clarissa Baldwin commented ” We sincerely hope that the Ladbrokes Coral decision will be a clear marker to  other Bookmakers to recognise their responsibility and pay into the voluntary levy.   However, crucial to the benefits will be very careful scrutiny of how this money is allocated ensuring the best outcome for the welfare of greyhounds.   We look forward to learning how this will be ensured and who, will be in charge of distribution of funds“.
