Glenpadden’s Chief and Rock gave Barrie Draper a double in the Ladbrokes Puppy Derby Trial Stakes over 480 metres at Monmore.

Southfield Jock was all the rage for division three and his supporters were in clover when he went clear.

However Glenpadden Chief caught him close home to score by three quarters of a length in a fastest 28.15sec.

Litter brother Glenpadden Rock rode a few bumps before going on at halfway in division two to beat Sambuka Sam in 28.60sec.

Draper was denied a treble in the top division when Patchys Kerry, trained by Paul Young, got up close home to deny Glenpadden Lord by a neck in 28.74sec.

Richard Devenish’s Romany Rouge finished well in division four to deny Droopys Genoa by a neck in 28.45sec.
