Kevin Hutton sent out an open race treble at ROMFORD on Friday night with at least two of those winners likely to feature in Tuesday’s Coral Romford Puppy Cup draw.

The first four race on the card were effectively trialstakes and quickest of the lot was Hutton’s Glenanore Diego (Scolari Me Daddy-Glenanore Fly, Oct 15). The Trafalgar Cup runner-up popped away in a sparkling 3.62 sectional and won by more than seven lengths in 23.97 (all +10).

Kennelmate Headford Kev (Iso Octane-Tyrur Tulisa, Jan 15) had set the ball rolling with a 24.05 run. Night Bomber (Droopys Nidge-Silver Dollar, Nov 15), brother to Roxholme Nidge, won at his fourth Romford attempt in 24.15. However kennelmate Kilmore Lemon found one a neck too good in Seamus Cahill’s Sporting Dave (Ballymac Vic-Sporting Dame, Dec 15) who clocked 24.01.

Fastest over the six bend course was Hazel Kemp’s in-form Master Kelly (Forest Master-Light Foot Molly, Aug 14) with a 35.01 (+30) run for 575m. It was his fifth win (plus a half length second) in his last six races.

At Mildenhall, Goldies Hotspur (Aero Majestic-Slick Sapphire, Jan 15) recorded the fastest 700 metre time in four years with a 45.05 open race win.
