After a night of shocks on Friday, Saturday saw most of the big names live up to their billing and none more so than Wolfe who clocked the second fastest time of the year in 29.22.
Only one winner had broken 29.60 on opening night, that feat was achieved five times on Saturday, though interestingly once again the majority of the faster runs came early on the card.
Holland’s tip as ‘the one to beat’ in the event Killmacdonagh lived up to her reputation with a 29.39 run, which also puts the 29.37 run of Ballymac Anton into some perspective.
Seven of the 13 heat winners went to market leaders and Ghost Dancer was the only odds-on favourite to be eliminated.
