FRIDAY night’s card at Kinsley was a very special one for owner-trainer-breeder Kevin Ferguson three of the October 2013 pups from a litter that resulted from a mating between Kinloch Brae and Ring Ouzel all won writes John Forbes.

Acomb Kevin, who broke his duck the previous week in an A5, stepped up successfully to A4, winning nicely at 6-4; Acomb Ruby (7-2) fourth on her debut in A2 last month, got off the mark in another A2; and Acomb Betty (3-1), fifth on her debut in A6 last week, came up trumps in the same grade to complete a great treble for the family.

Ferguson, who went on to complete a nice Yankee with 3-1 winner Crossfield Aly, has high hopes for the litter particularly Acomb Ruby, who he believes could make up into a Gymcrack candidate.
