Mildenhall continues to function since the devastating news in relation to the lost court proceedings writes Mark Newberry.

Whilst things appear to continue as normal the promoters are working hard to try to secure a long term future for RDC promotions and as such the O&T will look to do all it can to support there efforts at this unique and terrific stadium. As one can expect there will be a period of no news whilst strategies are considered.

OK, so its not a Towcester, or bookmaker backed facility and its far from perfect and it has for many reasons taken many backward and questionable steps that see it very much a real grass roots set up ……

BUT it has created a niche , it maintains a safe running surface , it provides a friendly and helpful environment , its a great place to start pups , its home to many gifted trainers , Its best dogs hold there form elsewhere and its part of our great sport …of which the feeling , passion and emotions of this exciting sport are the same here as anywhere else and certainly something we do not want to loose.

With the long term future looking less than optimistic it is essential that the O&T and those who use the facility continue to support the track and provide it with the quality and strength in depth it needs to successfully function as we will try to work with the promoter in marketing the product and generating the revenue required to keep this a going concern.
