A delayed Monmore Dog of the Month for March mention for the KSS Syndicate’s King Lloyd (Shaneboy Lee-Shaws Dilemma, Ag 13). Trained by Pat Curtin, the white and brindle had a lucrative month with three wins (2-1, 4-1, 7-2) from his four races.

The Bitch of the Month was Sporting Robin (Westmead Hawk-Local Glamour, Apr 14) with three wins and a second. Indeed the Frank Wright owned, Corrin Price trained brindle must be a leading contender for the April equivalent with three wins and a third.

There was also a five-timer recorded by the Booze and Loyals’ King Dan (Shaneboy Spencer-Pretty Fantasy, May 14) and hat-tricks for Farley Gene and True Faith. Wishbone Wizzard passed the 100 race mark.

April awards will be published as soon as they are released by the local owners association.
