Richard Devenish’s runner, an August 203 bitch, flew out of the boxes and made every metre to beat Farley Max by almost four lengths in a slick 25.95sec.

The richest race of the day, the Owners Bonus Series B5 final went to Lynnfield Dancer.

Roger York’s daughter of Ace Hi Rumble was led to the third turn by Di Jinks’ Momentum, but she swept past to score by three and a half lengths in 26.40sec, completing a four-timer in the process.
