What a night for the McNair team and British breeding as they landed the £10,000 RPGTV Henlow Derby and broke a track record on the supporting card.

The star of the night was Produce Stakes winner King Elvis who stretched his career record to an incredible strike rate of 70% with his 14th win from 20 races.

Showing superior early pace, he just led up local hero Savana Donie and took the vital first bend lead.

The Kent bred black and white, who celebrated his second birthday on Tuesday, then held off the another local favourite, Idle Talker by four lengths in an identical time to semi victory – 27.11.

Earlier, litter sister Queen Anna had set a new track record for the 277m sprint course with a run of 16.23 – three spots inside Droopys Bocelli’s previous best.

Elvis and Anna’s dam Stake On (Cashen Legend-Grannys Image) – who broke sprint records at Nottingham, Wimbledon and Yarmouth, also loved the Lower Stondon circuit and would have started at odds-on to win the 2015 Supersprint over the same course had she not been withdrawn from the final.

The pair were from Skate On’s first litter – who were born only three months after her open race winning swansong at Towcester. Elvis was the only male but with six sisters. They included Queen Adele (23.70 -400m Romford), Queen Paloma (28.98 – 480m Central Park) and Queen Whitney who only has five open races to date following a five month lay-off.

All eyes will be on her seven dogs and one bitch by Eden The Kid who will be a year old in February.
