Amazing Dude equalled the Clonmel 525 yard track record in the quarter finals of the BIF Produce Stakes on Sunday.

Graham Holland’s runner got away to a flyer and was soon well clear. He eventually beat the dead-heaters Uncle Paul and Conna Harriers by eight and a half lengths in 28.23sec.

Holland had a double when Kirby Memorial runner-up Rural Hawaii landed the second qualifier.

The Head Bound dog was led to the second turn by Skip Glory but he went on to beat that rival by three lengths in 28.37sec.

Kirby Memorial third Country Legend produced a Scurlogue Champ style victory in heat three. Maurice Heffernan’s runner came out of the traps eight lengths adrift and was stone last until unleashing a run which saw him come flying through to beat Haughty Slippers and Ballybough Mike by half a length and a neck in 28.95sec.

Ballybough Mondo rode a first bend bump in heat four when making all the running to hold Kevin Patrick by half a length in 28.69sec.
