Oaks winner Domino Storm was cut to 50-1 for the William Hill Greyhound Derby after landing easily the classiest race on a card of 13 Trial Stakes over 480 metres at Wimbledon on Thursday.

Mark Wallis’s bitch, the 7-4 joint favourite, barged 2015 Juvenile Derby winner Ballymac Brogan out of the way at the first turn and went on to beat that rival by two lengths in 28.24sec, the best return of the night.

Charlie Lister’s Cloran Paddy was third with this year’s Juvenile winner Ballymac Ramsey in fourth.

Wallis was also on the mark with Ballymac Shirley in Division V.  The Tyrur Bigmike bitch led from trap to line to beat Newlawn Ned by three and a half lengths in 28.37sec.

Wallis completed a treble when his  Clondoty Alex (2-1) got first run on main rival Blackrose Marco in Division O to hold on and score by a neck in 28.49sec.

Droopys Awesome lived up to his name in the Division D.  Fraser Black’s runner was only third down the back but the leaders Sussex Cup winner Ballymac Mossjoe and Irish Derby Finalist Shutthe Backdoor came together and the Irish raider needed no second invitation and he came home six lengths clear of Ballymac Mossjoe in 28.51sec.

Coolavanny Pat was also an eye-catching winner of Division T for trainer Charlie Lister.

The Puppy Classic finalist trapped well and was soon clear of Roswell Iceman, eventually scoring by three lengths in 28.50sec.

There was a shock 12-1 winner in the opening Division R when Kevin Boon’s Santas Scolari made every metre to beat Aventador by four lengths in 28.54sec.

Rio San Marino, trained by last year’s winning handler Danny Riordan, was an impressive winner of Division P when he gave a start and a near two length beating to Monmore Puppy Derby winner Castell Henry in 28.58sec.

Richard Yeates’ Ballycannon Bob (9-4f) came home strongly in Division G to pass the pace-making Hell Letloose on the last turn and score by two and a half lengths in 28.58sec.

Maria Collin’s Swift Kidman (11-4) was a facile winner of Division R when leading all the way to slam Lenson Santi by almost five lengths in 28.65sec.

Bob Pattinson’s Pass To go justified 10-11 favouritism in Division E when avoiding the trouble at the opening turn to go on to beat Sporting Melody by half a length in 28.81sec.

Peterborough raider Ceroc Grumpy (3-1) was soon clear in Division Y to score a length and three quarter victory over Genuine Deejay in 28.87sec.

After the track was watered with the bowser, Heather Dimmock’s 2015 Scottish Derby finalist Toolatetosell produced an 8-1 shock to make all and hold Badabing by a short head in 28.65sec.

Henlow Maiden Derby winner Charity Buster returned from a lay-off to land Division U.

John Lamb’s runner, an 11-4 chance, was soon clear and went on to hold Farran Smith by almost three lengths in 28.42sec.
