Irish coursing folk have rallied to raise almost a quarter of a million pounds to date as a fighting fund to protect the future of their sport.
The move follows the failure to exclude coursing from the permitted activities allowed during Covid restrictions. There is a belief among coursing folk that a deal has been agreed between the Irish coalition government to appease the Green Party, who aim to see coursing banned.
