“We have today terminated Mr Reynolds’ contract as a Romford trainer with immediate effect as we deem that Mr Reynolds has brought the integrity of the sport and the track into question.  The integrity of the sport is of paramount importance, in order for owners and trainers to operate on a fair and level playing field, and for punters to have total confidence in the sport as a betting medium. Mr Reynolds was warned as to his future conduct at a meeting with track officials last month, and there are two further enquiries pending, which relate to incidents involving Mr Reynolds’ dogs, bringing the total to four in a nine month period.”

“We are not ruling out bringing in another trainer to replace Mr Reynolds in the future, but we are satisfied that the current number of dogs will meet upcoming racing requirements.”
