No tricast was declared on Harlow’s most unusual race on Wednesday night when only two greyhounds completed the course.

The 415m open saw only three runners go to traps with Philfen Diva made the 4-7f. The race went to form with the Philpot runner holding off Baxters Boy (11-8) by just over a length in 26.12. Sadly, the third runner Shoemakers Molly (4-1) checked at the first bend and failed to complete the course.

Trainer Jason Bloomfield said: “Unfortunately, she picked up a gracilis injury which means she is finished. But we already have a home line up for her with a friend of Kelli’s (Windebank-assistant trainer )”
