Juvenile winner Ballymac Brogan was surprisingly beaten when returning to Wimbledon on Saturday for the track’s Wimbledon Standard over 480 metres.

Seamus Cahill’s runner went off the 4-7 favourite but missed his break and was bumped around the opening turn.

Meanwhile Jason Foster’s Sparta flame passed pace-making Up To It on the third turn and went on to beat the favourite by almost two lengths in a slow 29.19sec (-10).

Cahill has better luck in the Wimbledon Stayers over 687 metres when his Chicago caught King Danni close home to score by a head in 42.35sec.

Jim Reynolds’ Never Doubt Me impressed over the jumps course when soon clear to beat Priceless Sun by just over five lengths in 29.30sec.
