Corrin Bob, beaten in the first two rounds, was a 5-1 winner of the £6,000 Ladbrokes Gold Collar over 540 metres at Crayford on Tuesday.

Ernie Gaskin’s runner made the opening turn just in front of Droopys Ontario and Swift Whirlwind and went on to beat the latter by two and a half lengths in33.67sec.

One of the owners said afterwards: “Nothing has won on the inside tonight which worried us but when he went round in front he was never going to get beaten.”

Yvonne Gaskin added: “He’s gone through a lot and has suffered many injuries and is therefore lightly raced so it’s great to see him win something like this.”

Headford Joe and Target Harris had a great buckle in the £5,000 Ladbrokes Guys & Dolls Final over 380 metres.

Target Harris held a marginal lead from the first turn through to close home where Katie O’Flaherty’s Headford Joe got up in the final strides to score by half a length in 23.13sec.

O’Flaherty said afterwards: “It’s been an amazing year and this has topped it off.

“I thought we were in trouble when Target Harris led as he’s the track record holder but my fella is running out of his skin and deserved it.”

Dashing Star outstayed his opponents in the Ladbrokes Kent Cesarewitch over 874 metres.

John Mullins’ runner led on the last lap and held off the late challenge of Market Heights by three quarters of a length in 57.0sec.

Mullins said afterwards: “I’ve always liked him since he had a graded race but the boys wouldn’t believe me.

“The dog can hopefully only improve as he’s only had a handful of races.

“The Boxing Day Marathon here will be his next target.”

Roxholme Bob overcame trouble to land the opening New Eltham Butchers Stakes over 380 metres.

Hayley Keightley’s runner rode a couple of early bumps before leading off the third turn to deny early leader Bellview Soviet by a head in 23.35sec.

Soviet Kenny made a successful eight bend debut in the Jay & Kay Coach Tours Stakes over 714 metres.

John Mullins’ runner led off the third turn and held off the late challenge of Oneco Sky by a length and a quarter in 45.42sec.

Farneys Cookie overcame trouble to land the Durrant’s Fine Wine Stakes over 540 metres.

Kevin Boon’s runner was crowded early and at halfway before coming late to deny long-time leader Crossfield Champ by two and a half lengths in 33.59sec.

Kent St Leger winner Droopys Tamera was successful in the J.B. Riney MBE Stayers Stakes over 714 metres.

Dean Child’s bitch was led to the penultimate turn by Jimmy Nailed On but swept past to score by almost five lengths in 45.30sec.

Handy Henry was another local winner of the Ladbrokes Kent Champion Hurdle over 380 metre hurdles.

Julie Luckhurst’s runner flew out of the boxes and pulled clear from the opening turn. He went on to beat Bua Frank by almost two lengths in 23.56sec.
