The Betfred Eclipse became the latest high profile event to fail to fill when only 37 runners were entered for the intended 48 runner event. It will now be run as a 36-runner stake staged over three meetings with a week between the first round next Monday and the semis a week later. There is then an eight day gap to the final on Tuesday November 22.
